Chelsea
are yet to receive an approach from the Football Association for goalkeeping
coach Henrique Hilario as new England boss Thomas Tuchel looks to recruit
the Portuguese, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Tuchel reportedly wants Hilario to work part-time in his England team.
The interest in Hilario comes with Jordan Pickford reportedly facing a fight
to hold on to his place as England’s No 1 for the 2026 World Cup under
Tuchel.
Meanwhile, Hilario is not the only member of Chelsea's backroom staff the
German is targeting.
The Times are reporting the head of performance analysis at Chelsea, James
Melbourne, is expected to join the FA at Tuchel's request after he worked
with Melbourne when guiding the Blues to Champions League glory in 2021.
The report says Melbourne, who has been at Stamford Bridge since 2005, has
resigned before any formal approach being made by the FA to the club.
