Shaun Wright-Phillips
set the home side on their way with a fine volley with Didier Drogba adding a
second after half-time.
The home side added
the icing on the cake late on with further goals from Michael Essien and Andrei
Shevchenko.
The visitors suffered
a blow shortly after as keeper David Marshall was forced out of the action after
twisting an ankle and was replaced by Paul Gallacher.

The Canaries could
have pulled a goal back with 15 minutes remaining, but Chris Brown sent his
header wide of Cech's far post after a great left-footed cross into the box by

cross to head home past Gallacher to add insult to injury.
