'Terry Deserves Chelsea Send-Off'  (Sky Sports)

John TerryJohn Terry deserves the chance to start for Chelsea before he leaves this summer, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says.

Terry confirmed last month he is leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of the season after 22 years and more than 700 appearances.

Just 12 of those have come under Antonio Conte, but with the title in the bag Hasselbaink told Premier League Daily he hopes Terry will lead the side out against Watford on Monday Night Football and when Sunderland visit on the final day.

"I would love to see John Terry playing," said Hasselbaink, who played alongside the Blues captain from 2000 to 2004. "Especially at the Bridge in front of his own fans for the last two times.

"Obviously Conte will have to think about the FA Cup final as well, and certain players will have to tick over.

"You can't give players two weeks off and and expect them to turn up for one of the most important games of the season, but to give John Terry respect I would like to see him feature in those two games."

Only Arsenal now stand between Conte and a league and cup double in his first season in England and, according to Hasselbaink, the Italian's success can be traced back to the moment he switched to a three-man defence eight games in.

He said: "When he went to a back three, his body language changed, You could see he was standing on the touchline much more confident and that went over into the players.

"He was a totally different man and he's been a genius. He's so close with his players but also very distant and very tough."
