Battling Bolton Stun Blues (Sky Sports)
Chelsea 2 Bolton Wanderers 2
Bolton came from two goals down to earn an unlikely 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea looked to be heading for their ninth successive win after early strikes in each half from Damien Duff and Tiago, but Bolton hit back and earned a point with goals from Kevin Davies and Radhi Jaidi.
It was the first time Chelsea had conceded two goals in The Premiership as Bolton ended Jose Mourinho's men's winning streak.
The kick-off was delayed for 30 minutes after a serious traffic accident prevented fans and officials getting to the ground and once the game got underway it was Chelsea who came out of the blocks flying, grabbing the opening goal in the very first minute.
Frank Lampard was the creator of the goal with a brilliant through ball to send Duff scampering clear on goal and the Irishman coolly rounded Jussi Jaaskelainen before sliding the ball into the unguarded net.
Bolton almost found an equaliser on 11 minutes when Ricardo Carvalho, under pressure inside his own box, nearly turned the ball into his own net and he was relieved to see the ball flash just wide of the post.
Duff forced Jaaskelainen into a save on 20 minutes with a drive from the edge of the area which the keeper easily collected.
John Terry wasted a good chance to double Chelsea's lead on 28 minutes when he rose unmarked to meet Arjen Robben's corner, but he could only power his header over the bar.
Chelsea looked dangerous from set pieces and Carvalho sent a header flashing over the bar from Duff's corner after 31 minutes.
Lampard had a sight of goal on 41 minutes when he picked the ball up on the edge of the box, but he sliced his shot horribly wide.
Chelsea made a flying start to the second half like they did in the first and Tiago doubled the lead with a fine finish into the top corner after Robben and Duff worked a short corner between themselves.
Bolton refused to lie down and they gave themselves a lifeline when Davies pulled a goal back four minutes later.
Petr Cech was at fault for the goal as he came out and missed Gary Speed's free kick and Davies got his head on the ball to send it goalwards although the final touch appeared to come off the Chelsea goalkeeper.
The goal stung Chelsea into action and two minutes later Jaaskelainen pushed out Lampard's fierce free kick and when Claude Makelele fired in the rebound Chelsea had claims for a penalty turned down as the Frenchman's shot appeared to be blocked by the hands of Davies.
Eidur Gudjohnsen should have grabbed a third on the hour mark when Robben's cross somehow found the striker unmarked in front of goal, but he failed to connect with his shot properly and Jaaskelainen was able to make the save.
Speed had a great chance to draw Bolton level on 73 minutes when he arrived late in the box to meet Nicky Hunt's cross with a diving header, but his effort was straight at Cech.
Gudjohnsen was inches away from netting a third on 79 minutes when he worked a neat one-two with Duff and was then unlucky to see his shot smash off the underside of the crossbar.
Bolton showed dogged determination to draw level three minutes from time as Davies headed the ball into the path of Jaidi and the big defender superbly volleyed his shot into the bottom corner to stun Chelsea.
