Confirmed Chelsea signings

Timo Werner - Chelsea have completed the signing of the RB Leipzig forward.

Xavier Mbuyamba - Chelsea have completed the signing of 18-year-old centre-back Mbuyamba - who has been dubbed the 'new Virgil van Dijk'. Mbuyamba will join the club's development squad from Barcelona.

Ben Chilwell - Chelsea have signed England left-back Chilwell from Leicester for a fee in the region of £50m on a five-year deal.

Malang Sarr - Chelsea have signed French defender Sarr on a free transfer. Sarr, 21, joins after his contract at Nice ran out in the summer, signing a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Thiago Silva - Chelsea have signed Brazilian centre-back Silva on a one-year deal with the option of a second after his PSG contract expired.

Kai Havertz - Antonio Rudiger has admitted he has been attempting to 'lure' German team-mate Havertz to Chelsea (Sky Sports, August 2); Havertz is unlikely to train with Bayer Leverkusen again, says head coach Peter Bosz, as he closes on a £90m move to Chelsea (Sky Sports, September 1); People involved in the transfer negotiation to bring Havertz to Chelsea are very hopeful it will be resolved in a 'matter of days' (Sky Sports, August 31); Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal to sign the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder (Sky Sports, August 25).

Edouard Mendy - Chelsea have reportedly returned with an improved offer for Rennes' goalkeeper Mendy, after their opening bid of £15m was rejected (Sunday Express, August 30).

Declan Rice - Chelsea are reportedly ready to splash out for West Ham midfielder Rice to take their summer spending spree past the £250m mark (The Sun, August 29); West Ham have dismissed reports they have received a £50m bid from Chelsea for Rice (Sky Sports, August 11); West Ham have valued Rice at more than £80m (The Times, August 13).

Philippe Coutinho - The Brazilian prefers a return to the Premier League and Chelsea are among a trio of clubs interested in the 28-year-old Champions League winner (Marca, August 26)

Mike Maignan - Chelsea are interested in signing Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan. The 25-year-old is seen as a credible candidate to challenge Kepa Arrizabalaga for the number one position at Stamford Bridge (Sky Sports, August 25).

John Stones - Chelsea are ready to move for the Man City defender - even if they sign £40m Brighton defender Lewis Dunk (Mirror, August 17); Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is hoping to snap up Stones in a bargain £20m deal (Mirror, August 9).

Nicolas Tagliafico - If a move for Chilwell cannot be agreed then another target, Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico, is available for less than half the price (Sky Sports, August 17); Chelsea have expressed an interest in signing Ajax's Argentina international left back (Sky Sports, August 10).

Ben Foster - The Watford 'keeper is a shock emergency target for both Chelsea (The Sun, August 16).

Jan Oblak - Chelsea will be forced to look elsewhere in their search for a goalkeeper after Atletico Madrid slapped a £110m price tag on the Slovenian (Mirror, August 15); Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia has opened talks with Oblak's agent over a transfer (Star, July 29); Manchester United and Chelsea are both keeping tabs on the Atletico goalkeeper, amid the poor form of both clubs' current stoppers. Willian - Arsenal have completed the signing of Willian on a three-year deal (August 14).
