Monaco
boss Thierry Henry has admitted he has spoken regularly with Cesc Fabregas
but his switch from Chelsea is not yet done.
Fabregas said an emotional farewell to Chelsea in their FA Cup win over
Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge in what was almost certain to be his
last match for the west London club.
Sky Sports News understands the clubs are close to an agreement for the
ex-Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder to join Henry's struggling Ligue 1 team,
with Fabregas' Chelsea contract expiring in the summer.
On Monday - ahead of his side's next game against Rennes - Henry said:
"Fabregas you saw, like me, there was a standing ovation, tears.
"Since my departure from Arsenal we talk every two or three days with Cesc
It has not changed in recent days. He is a player who interests all clubs."
The 31-year-old has struggled for regular first-team opportunities this
season under Maurizio Sarri, playing just six games in the Premier League,
five coming as a substitute.
