Hazard says he doesn't care about critical comments from Maurizio Sarri
prior to Chelsea's Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Tottenham.
Sarri questioned Hazard's leadership qualities heading into the tie at
Stamford Bridge, which Chelsea eventually won 4-2 on penalties.
The Belgian picked up the man of the match award after putting Chelsea ahead
in the first half, and seemed unconcerned by his manager's pre-match
thoughts.
He told Sky Sports: "To be fair, I don't care. I just play my football, it
doesn't matter what the manager said. I just focus on this team and I always
want to do the best for this team, today I did and I'm just happy."
Chelsea won 2-1 on the night, but the tie finished 2-2 on aggregate and went
to penalties, with the hosts netting all four of theirs. Hazard was the
fifth taker, but his team-mates ensured he did not have to step up.
They now face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on February 24 - live
on Sky Sports - and Hazard knows it will be a tough encounter.
He added: "It's always hard [against Man City]. With Liverpool, I think they
are the best team in the Premier League at the moment, they win a lot of
trophies in the last five or six years, but we also have a great team so I
think it is a 50-50 game."
