Kepa
Arrizabalaga has been dropped to the bench for the Premier League match
against Tottenham following his standoff with Maurizio Sarri during the
Carabao Cup Final.
Kepa refused to be substituted late into extra time in Sunday's final with
Manchester City, and wouldn't leave the pitch.
After a 0-0 draw with City, the 24-year-old Spaniard took part in the
ensuing penalty shootout, which Chelsea lost 4-3, with back-up keeper Willy
Caballero remaining an unused substitute.
Afterwards Sarri described the incident as a "big misunderstanding" and Kepa
was fined a week's wages which will be donated to the Chelsea Foundation
charity.
However, Sarri has extended the punishment by dropping Kepa, with Caballero,
who Sarri wanted to bring on at Wembley, making his first league start of
the season.
