United have been drawn to play Tottenham in a heavyweight FA Cup semi-final
showdown next month.
Last year's beaten finalists Chelsea will take on Southampton in the last
four - having scored an extra-time winner at Leicester on Sunday.
Both semis will be at Wembley, Tottenham's temporary home for this season,
on the weekend of April 21-22.
United are bidding for a second FA Cup win in three seasons, having beaten
Crystal Palace after extra time in the 2016 final under Louis van Gaal.
They beat Brighton 2-0 in their Saturday night semi-final, although manager
Jose Mourinho was critical of his team after the match.
United will face a Tottenham side who have enjoyed great success under
manager Mauricio Pochettino but are without a trophy since they won the
League Cup back in 2008.
Spurs last reached a cup final back in 1991 (2-1 win over Nottingham Forest)
and were semi-final losers last season.
Chelsea won the FA Cup four times in six years from 2007 but have not lifted
the trophy since beating Liverpool 2-1 in the 2012 final, losing by the same
scoreline to Arsenal last year.
Former Chelsea forward Mark Hughes was named manager at Southampton this
week and led the Premier League strugglers to a 2-0 quarter-final win at
Wigan on Sunday in his first match in charge.
Southampton won the FA Cup in 1976 and last reached the final in 2003, when
they lost 1-0 to Arsenal - although they were beaten League Cup finalists
last season.

Ties to be played at Wembley on the weekend of April 21/22
