Palmieri will fly to the UK on Tuesday to undergo a medical with Chelsea -
but the Blues will not be signing his Roma team-mate Edin Dzeko.
Sky in Italy reported the clubs have agreed a deal of £17.6million plus £7m
in add-ons for the left-back to move to Stamford Bridge.
Palmieri leaves Italy on Tuesday and will undergo a medical in London ahead
of the move.
Striker Dzeko, however, will not be joining up with Antonio Conte because of
the amount of money and length of contract being requested by the player.
The Bosnia international is asking for a three-and-half-year deal worth
around £120,000 per week.
Chelsea, who were willing to pay a fee of up to £26m for the former
Manchester City forward, are closely monitoring Olivier Giroud's situation
after Arsenal agrred a £60m deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has said he will only allow France striker Giroud
to leave the Emirates if they sign a new striker before the transfer
deadline and the Aubameyang deal is ready to go once Borussia Dortmund find
a replacement.
