Chelsea
have made an approach to Roma for their defender Emerson Palmieri, according
to Sky in Italy.
It is understood that a full-back is Chelsea manager Antonio Conte's main
priority this month and that Roma are prepared to let him go for a fee of
around £20m.
Sky Italia say the player is keen on the move, and wants to work with Conte,
with Chelsea his preferred destination.
The 23-year-old Brazilian-born player joined Roma from Santos in 2015, but
has only played 15 minutes of Serie A football this season.
He has represented Brazil at under-17 level and is now an Italian citizen.
