City made it to Wembley for the first time in their history after beating
Chelsea U21s on penalties in the semi-finals of the Checkatrade Trophy.
Luke Waterfall gave the Imps the lead after 72 minutes at Sincil Bank but
Daishawn Redan responded swiftly for the Blues to make it 1-1 and send the
game to a shootout.

The victory sparked wild scenes among the home support, with many running
onto the pitch to celebrate their first trip to Wembley in their 133-year
history.
Elsewhere, Yeovil made it into the semi-finals of the competition after
beating Sky Bet League One Fleetwood 3-2 in their rearranged quarter-final.
Cian Bolger struck early for Fleetwood before levelling the game with an own
goal in the 23rd minute, while Corey Whelan then struck shortly after the
break to put League Two Yeovil 2-1 up.
Jordy Hiwula's 80th-minute effort seemed to be sending the game to a
shootout, but Francois Zoko popped up in the 90th minute to book their
last-four encounter at Shrewsbury in three weeks.
