Kasper
Schmeichel has been ruled out of Leicester's EFL Cup clash with Chelsea,
which sees N'Golo Kante return to his former club.
Schmeichel will sit out again as he recovers from the concussion he suffered
on Friday which saw him miss Saturday's 3-0 win over Burnley.
Ron-Robert Zieler will start in goal but Matty James and Nampalys Mendy
(both ankle) are not yet fit.
Chelsea, meanwhile, remain without the injured John Terry for the trip to
the King Power Stadium. The captain is on the verge of returning from an
ankle injury, but Tuesday's fixture will prove too soon.
Kurt Zouma's long-term anterior cruciate ligament injury means David Luiz is
expected to continue to deputise.
Manager Antonio Conte could yet decide to rotate his side and hand
appearances to fringe players like Cesc Fabregas, Pedro and Michy Batshuayi.
Opta stats
These two sides last met in the League Cup in October 2007. Chelsea won 4-3
at Stamford Bridge en-route to the final.
Leicester and Chelsea also played out the 1965 League Cup final. Chelsea
were again victorious, winning 3-2 over two legs.
Leicester have scored exactly two goals in seven of their last nine home
games against Chelsea in all competitions.
The Blues have only been eliminated in Round 3 once in the last 10 seasons
(3-4 vs Newcastle in 2010-11).
The Foxes have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last eight home
games in the League Cup.
Charlie's prediction
This is going to be a cracking game. Chelsea have got problems, not dramatic
ones, but Antonio Conte doesn't seem to know what his best team is, going
with more workers than creative players.
They're relying on Hazard as their creator as they're not using a playmaker
but Cesc Fabregas should have the chance to come in here, while Conte will
rotate with the likes of Pedro and Michy Batshuayi coming in.
Leicester took a while to get going on Saturday but when they did they
looked like the champions again and I think they'll knock Chelsea out, with
Shinji Okazaki coming back into the side and doing the business.
Charlie predicts: 2-1 and Okasaki to score first (60/1 with Sky Bet)
