Pedro
says Chelsea's 4-0 demolition of Manchester United has given the Blues the
belief they can challenge for the Premier League title this season.
The Spain winger opened the scoring at Stamford Bridge after just 30
seconds, before goals from Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante
completed the rout over Jose Mourinho's side.
The win lifted Chelsea into the top four, above Tottenham on goal
difference, and has lifted confidence within Antonio Conte's squad that they
will be contenders.
"It's the way to show we can fight for the title," he told
Chelsea TV.
Pedro started in the absence of Willian, who is on compassionate leave
following the death of his mother, and he is pleased to have manager Antonio
Conte's trust.
"For me it's perfect that Conte is confident with me," he added.
"The work is perfect. The same work continues."
Three consecutive wins - combined with three successive clean sheets - may
have lifted confidence in west London, but defender David Luiz has warned
his team-mates not to get carried away with their good run.
"Every match is three points," he said. "It doesn't matter the opponent.
It's good to win in this way. It's good to also keep the feet on the floor,
with humility.
"The important thing now is to rest a bit and then start to think about West
Ham."
