Conte praised Chelsea's commitment and attitude as they bounced back from
two consecutive defeats with a 2-0 win at Hull City.
Having slipped up against Liverpool and Arsenal, the Blues got back to
winning ways at the KCOM Stadium thanks to two stunning second-half goals
from Willian and Diego Costa.
A first win in three top-flight games moves the Conte's men up to sixth in
the Premier League, and the Italian was thrilled at full-time.
"It's a very important win," Conte told Sky Sports. "After two defeats it's
not easy because you must work and find the right solution to change and
improve.
"We did a good performance with the right intensity and pressure and I like
it a lot when the team plays in this way.
"We got a good reaction because after two defeats it is not easy because the
confidence is down.
"I saw my players this week have great commitment, attitude and will to
change the situation and come back to win.
"I'm pleased for them and it's important because we are working very hard
and I'm sure we can improve a lot if we continue to work in this way."
Conte adopted a different formation for the trip to Humberside after his
side were blown away inside 40 minutes at the Emirates Stadium last weekend.
And it was a decision which paid dividends as the Blues recorded only their
second clean sheet of the season and gave their manager the response he
demanded ahead of kick-off.
"I'm pleased for all of the players because in the Premier League it is the
second time we've kept a clean sheet," Conte added. "It is important after
two defeats and four games where we conceded two or three goals.
"To finish the game with a clean sheet is important. We scored two goals, in
my opinion we could have had more but it's OK, the performance was good.
"This is the way we must follow. We must try to improve our football ideas
but I am pleased because I got the response I wanted."
