Chelsea
head coach Antonio Conte is unlikely to see out the duration of his
three-year contract at Stamford Bridge, according to the Sunday Supplement
panel.
The Italian, 47, is on the verge of guiding Chelsea to a league and cup
double in his first season in charge of the west London club.
The Blues will win the Premier League if they beat Middlesbrough and West
Bromwich Albion in their next two league games, while they also face Arsenal
in next month's FA Cup final.
However, despite that success, it would be a surprise if Conte - who has
been linked with a move home to manage Inter Milan - were still in charge of
the club in four years' time, says Matt Law.
"The Inter Milan link strengthens his hand because it is real and if he
wanted to go Inter Milan, he could go to Inter Milan and they would probably
pay him more than Chelsea to do it," said the Daily Telegraph's football
news correspondent.
"There is a feeling with him - his family have still not moved over with him
yet. They were going to come over in Christmas, but either his daughter or
wife were studying, so they did not come over - that he has not put proper
roots down and that this will not be a four or five-year (project).
"But they never are at Chelsea. I would be surprised if he went this summer
as I would have thought he would want a crack at doing it in the Champions
League with them after such a successful one (season).
"I think this time next year he could go, but Chelsea managers coming in and
out of the door, it works for them and it works for Chelsea.
"Chelsea get so criticised over their change of managers and yet they win so
many trophies doing it. They would replace him, but I do not see him there
for four years."
