Watford
are interested in Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah,
Sky Sports News
HQ understands.
The 22-year-old is set to hold talks over his future with the Blues this
week, with newspaper reports claiming he wants to leave the club in pursuit
of more first-team football.
Sky Sports understands Watford are prepared to give him that, and he
previously spent time at Vicarage Road on loan in the Championship during
the 2012-13 season.
Chalobah - a product of Chelsea's academy - has also spent time on loan at
Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley, Reading and Napoli but was part
of Antonio Conte's first-team squad last season.
But he only made one Premier League start, against Watford at the end of the
campaign, and 15 appearances overall in all competitions.
Chelsea have already lost another of their youngsters Dominic Solanke, who
has signed for Liverpool for a fee set by tribunal and expected to be around
£3m.
Chalobah has one year left on his Chelsea contract and reports have
indicated the Blues want to extend that deal.
