Andy
Myers has left the backroom staff at Chelsea to join Dutch club Vitesse
Arnhem where he becomes a member of their first XI coaching team.
The 42-year-old, who made more than 100 first team appearances for the
Blues, has enjoyed eight years working as a Chelsea Academy coach.
He will move to the Netherlands in time for Vitesse Arnhem's pre-season
preparations.
And Myers told Chelsea's website: "I'm looking forward to joining the
coaching staff of Vitesse.
"I know Vitesse and their style of play and I hope to develop together with
the staff."
Blues' technical director Michael Emenalo added: "'It is a wonderful
opportunity for Andy and we wish him the best of luck.
"He has done a fantastic job as an academy coach for the past eight years
and now he is able to take the next step forward in his coaching career."
Myers, a former defender at Stamford Bridge, will be replaced as Chelsea's
under-21s assistant by Ian Howell.
