Milan winger Jonathan Biabiany has turned down a loan offer from Chelsea,
according to
Sky in Italy.
The France international has not been part of Inter's first team this
season, making only three appearances in all competitions.
But the 28-year-old, who has had spells at Chievo, Parma and Sampdoria
during his career in Italy, has rejected a temporary switch to Antonio
Conte's Premier League table-toppers.
The winger has decided he wants to remain with the Nerazzurri and is
understood to have had reservations about whether or not he would have been
part of the long-term project at Stamford Bridge.
Biabiany, who has reportedly been a target for Liverpool in previous
seasons, joined Inter as a free agent in 2015 after his former club Parma
went bankrupt.
Chelsea have made a concerted effort to strengthen their squad this month
following the recent departures of Oscar, Patrick Bamford and John Obi
Mikel, with Branislav Ivanovic and Asmir Begovic also linked with the
Stamford Bridge exit door.
Boss Conte has so far been thwarted in his efforts to sign Swansea striker
Fernando Llorente, and Celtic duo Moussa Dembele and Craig Gordon this
month.
