Willian
has claimed that former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was keen to sign him for
Manchester United last summer.
The Brazilian moved to Stamford Bridge in 2013, shortly after Mourinho
returned for a second spell in charge. He won the Premier League the
following season and was then player of the year in 2015 as Chelsea suffered
a dramatic dip in form which saw the Portuguese boss leave the club.
However, Willian claims that Mourinho enquired about the possibility of a
reunion between the pair after he took over at Old Trafford in the summer.
He told Globo Esporte: "Concrete, I do not know. But there was interest,
yes. From Manchester United, because Mourinho is there too.
"From other clubs I do not know, but there are always some things on the
internet. But I'm glad to hear that there are clubs that admire my work."
The 28-year-old has watched international team-mates Oscar and Ramires leave
Chelsea for the Chinese Super League but is not sure if he would follow suit
in the future.
He added: "To make this decision, we end up thinking about our future, our
children and family.
"I do not know if I would or not. What I can say is that I'm happy at
Chelsea, I feel very good there, as if it were my home."
