Branislav
Ivanovic has completed his move from Chelsea to Zenit St Petersburg.
The Serbia defender has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Russian
side and joins on a free transfer.
"I am motivated and I think that I can play for many more seasons at the top
level," he told the club's website.
"I can say that I am excited to be here and everything went smoothly.
"I have to get used to the team and get physically ready for the upcoming
official and important matches."
Ivanovic joined Chelsea from Lokomotiv Moscow in January 2008 under the
management of Avram Grant and featured 376 times in total, scoring 34 goals.
The 32-year-old played 16 times this season following the appointment of
Antonio Conte in the summer, scoring in what proved to be his last
appearance for the club - a 4-0 FA Cup fourth-round victory over Brentford
last Saturday.
During his eight years with Chelsea, Ivanovic helped the club win two
Premier League titles, three FA Cups, the League Cup, the Europa League and
the Champions League.
