Palace are closing on a season-long loan deal for Chelsea striker Loic Remy,
Sky sources understand.
The 29-year-old is yet to figure for Chelsea this season, with his chances
of playing time at Stamford Bridge further limited by Michy Batshuayi's
arrival over the summer.
Remy joined Chelsea in the summer of 2014 but the majority of his
appearances have come off the bench, having made only nine starts in the
Premier League since his move from QPR.
He scored three goals in 20 appearances last season but his only Premier
League goal came against champions Leicester in a 2-1 defeat, with the
others coming in the early stages of the Capital One Cup.
Palace boss Alan Pardew is keen to make another addition to his attacking
options at Selhurst Park despite having already broken broken the club's
transfer record to sign Christian Benteke from Liverpool for £32m.
And he has already worked with Remy as the France international had a
successful spell on loan with Newcastle United in 2013-14 when Pardew was in
charge at St James' Park.
Remy scored 14 goals in 24 Premier League games for Newcastle on loan from
QPR the season before his move to west London.
