Olympiakos
have signed Marko Marin from Chelsea after just 12 appearances in four
years.
Marin joined Chelsea in 2012 on a five-year deal from Werder Bremen, but
made just 16 first-team appearances during his time at Stamford Bridge -
scoring one league goal.
The midfielder, now 27, was sent out on loan to Sevilla, Fiorentina,
Anderlecht and Trabzonspor as he struggled to break into the senior squad at
Chelsea, and has now been allowed to leave on a permanent deal this summer
with the club wishing him well in the future on their official website.
Marin, who claimed it was his 'dream move' to come to Chelsea four years ago
and said he had turned down interest from Tottenham Hotspur, has now put pen
to paper on a three-year deal with Olympiakos.
The attacker has 16 caps for Germany and represented his nation at the 2010
World Cup in South Africa.
