Chelsea
midfielder N'Golo Kante will draw inspiration from his Premier League
triumph with Leicester as he looks to secure back-to-back titles.
The France international was a key figure in Claudio Ranieri's side's
extraordinary title win last season before moving to Stamford Bridge in a
£32m summer move.
This time around, his new club are four points clear of nearest rivals
Tottenham with five games remaining ahead of the Super Sunday double header
which sees Antonio Conte's side travel to Everton and Tottenham face north
London rivals Arsenal.
And Kante insists last season's experience can play a big part in helping
him claim a second successive title.
"I know what it takes to win the title," Kante told Sky Sports.
"I know how it feels to handle the pressure and keep working for the win.
"This helps me but like everyone knows Chelsea have won a lot of things and
we have players that have won a lot of things so the team is ready for the
last few games."
The Frenchman, who was an integral part of Leicester's title-winning side,
quickly showed his importance to Conte's side but insists his role has
changed since his move to Stamford Bridge.
When asked about his role at both Leicester and Chelsea, he said: "It's
different. At Leicester we had to try and stay compact, defend together and
make counter-attacks.
"At Chelsea we have more of the ball and sometimes you have to find a goal
against an opponent with men behind the ball. We are just in front of their
goal and we have to find a solution."
Since his arrival in England at Leicester from £5.6m form Caen, Kante has
won the most Premier League games, made the most tackles and made the most
interceptions of any player in the top flight.
But he says his tackling and his ability to read the game have come
naturally.
"It's not something I've worked particularly hard on it, it's just something
I've had since I started playing football," the France midfielder said.
"When I was playing with my friends on the street and at school it just came
naturally."
Kante's high-energy style of play has been an instant hit in the Premier
League but the Frenchman says he cannot put his success in England's top
flight down to one aspect of his game.
"I can't say something in particular," Kante said. "I play with team-mates
and when the team is good you have a good result.
"I give my best for my team-mates. At Leicester it was like that and
everyone was focused for the title and we did it.
"Here at Chelsea it's the same. Everyone wants to win and everyone will give
their best for the team, for the club and for the fans and it's going well.
"We are playing well and have a lot of quality at Chelsea. We are in a good
position. There are five games and we have to win four. That's what we are
trying to do."
