Chelsea
goalkeeper Thibault Courtois returned to training on Wednesday, according to
Sky sources.
Courtois missed last weekend's 2-0 Premier League defeat at Manchester
United due to an ankle injury with Asmir Begovic taking his place in goal.
Sky sources understand Courtois trained with his goalkeeping coach on
Wednesday and the expectation is that the 24-year-old will return to
training with his team-mates on Thursday.
That will come as a huge boost to Chelsea boss Antonio Conte before Sunday's
FA Cup semi-final against London rivals Tottenham.
Conte refused to confirm how Courtois hurt his ankle in the first place but
Sky sources understand the Belgium international picked up the injury while
playing basketball in a commercial shoot.
Courtois had started every league game for Chelsea this season prior to
Sunday's visit to Old Trafford and has played a key role in helping the
Blues top the table, keeping 13 Premier League clean sheets.
