Chalobah has chosen an "interesting challenge" in joining Napoli on loan,
according to his England U21 boss.
The Chelsea midfielder will spend this season in Serie A on the back of
previous loan spells with Watford, Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley
and Reading.
And Gareth Southgate has told the 20-year-old to expect an altogether
different experience this time.
He said: "We would advocate going and getting first-team football, that's
the most important thing for him.
"It's an interesting challenge for him, life experience-wise it's going to
be different for him compared to his other loan moves.
"Chelsea have now got three at Vitesse Arnhem who are in our younger age
groups and we have a couple of other players at U19s and U17s who have gone
abroad.
"So maybe it's an alternative route. The other leagues will play young
players, because that is the model of the leagues and that might
increasingly become an option."
