Chelsea
have signed former AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia on a free transfer.

first-team appearance for the Premier League champions.
Amelia, who has nine caps for Italy, made 29 appearances in four years at
the San Siro before joining Serie B outfit Perugia last season.
However, the 33-year-old never made a first-team appearance for Perugia and
has not played since featuring in Milan's 2-1 defeat to Atlanta in May last
year.
Ameila will be available for the Blues when they return to Premier League
action against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge a week on Saturday.
"Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Marco
Amelia," said the Blues in a statement.
"The goalkeeper arrives on a free transfer to provide highly experienced
cover following the injury to Thibaut Courtois last month, and has signed a
contract until the end of the season."
