Southampton
legend Matt Le Tissier insists his former club are "more than capable" of
taking something from their trip to Chelsea this weekend.
Ronald Koeman's men will be looking to add to the Blues' troubled start when
they visit Stamford Bridge on Saturday Night Football, live on Sky Sports
1HD from 5pm, with the champions winning just two of their first seven
games.
Soccer Saturday pundit Le Tissier said: "Southampton are unbeaten away this
season and had a really good win against Swansea, so they're going to
Stamford Bridge full of confidence.
"We're more than capable of beating a team like Chelsea and we showed for
long periods against Manchester United that we can compete against the top
teams."
The Saints have shared the spoils in two of their last three trips to
Stamford Bridge and Le Tissier is predicting another 1-1 draw at 11/2 in his
Sky Bet tips.
He added: "We've gone gone there and got a result when Chelsea were in far
better form, so I certainly believe we can get something, although I don't
want to be too optimistic so I'm predicting another draw.
"Their key defenders are another year older and [Branislav] Ivanovic and
[John] Terry have not started very well at all, while there's a lack of
confidence in their forward players, with [Eden] Hazard in particular
looking a shadow of his former self.
"There's not many players in that team playing to their full potential and
collectively it's a massive problem.
"[Jose] Mourinho has got to take his portion of the blame as he picks the
team and the tactics but he can't prevent the amount of individual errors
that are happening, which must be hard for him to take."
