Begovic is adamant Jose Mourinho has the support of the Chelsea players
following the Premier League champions' latest setback.
The Blues slipped to a seventh league defeat of the season - the first time
Mourinho has tasted seven defeats in a single campaign - at Stoke on
Saturday, a result that left Chelsea just three points above the relegation
zone.
Mourinho watched in a nearby hotel as he served a stadium ban and, in his
absence, Chelsea did not send a representative to speak at their post-match
press conference.
But Begovic spoke to Sky Sports after the Saturday Night Football clash and
insisted his team-mates remained right behind their manager.
"We're behind the manager," the goalkeeper said. "I think you can see from
our performance we're fighting for one another, fighting for everyone
involved.
"We think he's the right man and he's someone we respect and we work hard
for. It's unfortunate we're not giving him the results our performances
deserve.
"We just have to keep playing like we are. Eventually it has to turn. The
wall will break down and we'll be up and running.
"It's not a simple thing, it's not something you can pinpoint. It's a
collection of things and when things aren't going your way, you get punished
for little bits and pieces."
Begovic revealed the Chelsea boss still had a hand in preparing the team for
the game.
"His spirit and his presence are always there," Begovic added. "He prepared
us well. We wanted to get a result for him."
