Hiddink was knocked over during a scuffle following Chelsea's 2-2 draw with
Tottenham.
A bad-tempered clash at Stamford Bridge ended with Leicester being crowned
Premier League champions after Tottenham threw away a two-goal lead and with
it their hopes of title glory.
Tottenham had nine players booked and Chelsea three in a match which also
saw Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele appear to attempt to eye-gouge Diego
Costa.
Following the final whistle, Blues interim manager Hiddink headed for the
tunnel but appeared to lose his footing and took a heavy tumble.
The Dutchman's fall provoked pushing and shoving from both sets of players
with Chelsea's Diego Costa and Tottenham duo Danny Rose and Michael Vorm
involved.
Hiddink was helped back to his feet and headed down the tunnel while the
brawl continued in his absence as security staff attempted to restore order.
The 69-year-old, who will be replaced by Antonio Conte in the summer,
revealed after regaining his composure that former Blues boss Ranieri phoned
to thank him for helping Leicester win the title.
"A few minutes after the final whistle, after the judo, I got a call from
Ranieri," Hiddink said.
"His voice was trembling a bit. I don't know if he was crying. He said five
times thanks."
