Chelsea
insist the club will pay tribute to John Terry at their award ceremony on
Friday night.
Reports suggested the tribute had been cancelled, which led to speculation
that the club captain may not be leaving.
Sky Sports News HQ understands it will still take place, but it is focused
on the fact Terry has made 700 appearances for the Stamford Bridge club,
rather than the fact he may have played his last Chelsea game.
Terry, 35, has yet to be offered a contract extension at the club he has
been at since the age of 14.
He has been linked with moves to China and the United States and Chelsea
fans are expected to urge the board to retain the former England captain at
Sunday's final Premier League game of the season against Leicester.
The Blues will form a guard of honour for Leicester as they hand over the
mantle of Premier League champions to Claudio Ranieri's men.
