Wolfsburg
have completed the signing of former Chelsea centre-back Jeffrey Bruma on a
five-year deal.
The Netherlands international joins the Bundesliga club for an undisclosed
fee rumoured to be around €15million (£12m) following three years at PSV
Eindhoven.
According to De Telegraaf, the Blues will be due roughly 30 per cent of the
transfer fee as part of a sell-on clause.
While at Chelsea, Bruma spent time on loan at Leicester City and Hamburg,
before finding his feet in the Netherlands, winning two Eredivisie titles in
the last two seasons.
Speaking to the club website, Wolfsburg director Klaus Allofs said: "We are
delighted that Jeffrey opted for VfL Wolfsburg.
"He will join us with the confidence of just winning a league title,
moreover he knows the Bundesliga from his time at Hamburg and boasts
international experience.
"We are convinced he can quickly become an important cornerstone for our
squad."
Bruma said: "Since my time at Hamburg it was clear to me that I wanted to
play in the Bundesliga again, because it is one of Europe's top leagues.
"I am pleased that in Wolfsburg I get the opportunity to do so in the
future. In the three years at PSV, I have gained a lot of experience and I
continued to perform well."
