Fiorentina
have confirmed that they are considering legal action against Chelsea winger
Mohamed Salah, Sky sources understand.
Salah joined Fiorentina on loan from Chelsea during the January transfer
window, a deal which saw Juan Cuadrado move to Stamford Bridge for £26.1m
the following month.
Fiorentina believed they would have the option of extending the Egypt
international's loan deal by an additional year but after considering the
improved offer, Salah said he will be joining another club next season.
In response, Fiorentina said: “We have instructed our lawyers to assess the
actions which are necessary to protect the rights of our club.”
The Serie A club believe Salah favours a move to Inter Milan who, according
to Sky sources, agreed a fee with Stoke to sell winger Shaqiri, although
reports suggest Roma and Juventus are also interested in signing the
23-year-old.
Salah joined Chelsea from Basel for £11m in 2014, but struggled to cement a
place in Jose Mourinho's side, making just six league starts for the club.
However, he scored six league goals for Fiorentina and three in the Europa
League.
