Four
Chelsea supporters have been handed banning orders for their roles in this
year's Paris Metro incident.
The four were accused of chanting "we're racist, we're racist, and that's
the way we like it" as a black man, Souleymane Sylla, was pushed off a Paris
Metro service he was attempting to board.
The incident occurred in February on the night of Chelsea's 1-1 draw at
Paris Saint-Germain in the second round of the Champions League.
Richard Barklie, 50, William Simpson, 26, and Josh Parsons, 21, were banned
from attending football matches for four years as district judge Gareth
Branston made his ruling at Stratford Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
Jordan Munday, 20, was given a three-year banning order.
Chelsea condemned the fans involved in the incident at the time, while
manager Jose Mourinho said: "We feel ashamed, but maybe we shouldn't because
I refuse to be connected with these people."
