Chelsea
striker Diego Costa has been passed fit for Wednesday’s visit of West
Bromwich Albion.
The Spain international had been rated doubtful after limping out of the FA
Cup third-round win over Scunthorpe five minutes from the end of the game.
But Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink says he has made a 'faster recovery
than expected' and is 'likely to start' against Tony Pulis' side.
"Costa is okay," said Hiddink. "He got a knock but the day after the game he
was keen to get back on the pitch."
One player that will not feature against the Baggies is Eden Hazard who is
still nursing a groin injury. Hazard has started running but Hiddink
confirmed the Belgium international is yet to start training with the rest
of the first team.
"Hazard was on the pitch today with the physios and the trainers. He is
doing better and better but he is still not available," said the Dutchman.
Loic Remy is back in contention following a calf problem, but his fellow
striker Radamel Falcao (thigh) remains out.
"Remy is joining the group," added Hiddink. "The last two days he practised
with us."
