Chelsea's
interim boss Guus Hiddink has ruled out Loic Remy leaving the club in the
winter transfer window.
Several English newspapers had reported that the 29-year-old Frenchman could
be available for loan to another Premier League club.
Remy has struggled to break into Chelsea's first team since his £8.5m move
from Newcastle in 2014 and has made just one Premier League start all
season.
But Hiddink said: "He will stay until the end of the season.
"I have seen little of him because he repeatedly fell into injury. I am
curious. I hope Remy picks it up. I hope he will deliver if he is needed."
Hiddink has admitted that the Blues are discussing the potential signing of
a new striker in the current transfer window and a number of English
newspapers claim they are interested in West Brom's Saido Berahino.
They have a number of on-going injury issues up-front, with Diego Costa
having just shaken off a bruised knee to be in contention for Wednesday's
game against Albion while Remy is also available after a calf problem, but
Radamel Falcao remains out with a thigh injury.
Hiddink said: "We must not go into this danger if something happens with one
or two strikers
"The window opens and the mouth shuts so we don't have interest in this
moment. We are thinking. When you think, you don't speak normally. Suppose
something is going on, it can be harmful when you go public."
Young Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford has returned from a disappointing loan
spell at Crystal Palace and is keen to get regular games at another club,
but Hiddink has called for him to "prove yourself".
Meanwhile Falcao, simply, is "completely in the doctors' and physios'
hands".
