Allegri's former manager Giovanni Galeone says the Italian will become
Chelsea's new boss in the summer after receiving a "fantastic" offer from
Roman Abramovich.
On Monday, Juventus director Beppe Marotta insisted Allegri would not be
leaving his post as the club's manager and dismissed reports linking him
with a move to Stamford Bridge.
But Galeone, who managed Allegri during their time together at Pescara, says
the 48-year-old will move to England and has all the attributes to succeed
in the Premier League.
"I think Max will go to Chelsea and will do very well. As one of the five
best coaches in the world, he will leave Juventus, it makes no sense to
remain still in Italy," he told
Radio Radio.
"For me, he will leave Italy, and I see him going to England because the
proposal offered by Roman Abramovich is really fantastic.
"Allegri is doing incredible things, even if the club failed to buy the
players he requested last summer."
Chelsea's interim-manager Guus Hiddink has refused to commit himself to the
club beyond the end of the season and recently revealed he had been
approached to manage in the Chinese Super League.
Allegri won the Serie A title during his first season at Milan in 2010-11
and spent three-and-a-half years at the San Siro before joining Juventus in
the summer of 2014.
In his first season in charge, he guided Juve to the league title and Coppa
Italia, and reached the Champions League final which they lost to Bayern
Munich.
Juventus have won their past 14 league matches and sit second in the table,
two points off leaders Napoli.
