Senderos is ready to go face-to-face with his good friend Cesc Fabregas when
Aston Villa travel to Chelsea this Saturday.
The pair, who used to room together when they were team-mates at Arsenal,
will come up against each other at Stamford Bridge.
Fabregas has made an instant impact under manager Jose Mourinho since his
big-money summer move from boyhood heroes Barcelona.
But experienced defender Senderos is pleased that things are working out for
the Spain international and is looking forward to going up against him.
Senderos told the Birmingham Mail: "It is a long friendship. He didn't speak
a word of English when he moved to Arsenal.
"I was next to him and trying to help him in everything he needed. But he
picked it up pretty quickly.
"He is a terrific player. He speaks on the pitch better than anyone. I'm
pleased for him that he is doing well at Chelsea. His dream was to go back
to Spain and play for Barcelona in his home town.
"But he also now has a fantastic environment where he can develop at
Chelsea. He is really happy."
