Frankfurt are planning to explore the possibility of extending Chelsea
starlet Lucas Piazon's loan into a second year.
The 20-year-old remains some way down the attacking pecking order at
Stamford Bridge and his parent club are eager to get him regular game time.
Frankfurt have been impressed by his early efforts in Germany and would
welcome the opportunity to keep him on board for the 2015/16 campaign if
Chelsea are prepared to enter into talks.
General manager Bruno Hubner told BILD: “Definitely, we will be looking to
discuss things with Chelsea.
“Chelsea might hand him another loan year at our club.
“That would be what we are looking for because I think the Bundesliga is
currently the best platform for Lucas Piazon.
“He can add a certain physical toughness to his game and will be able to
make a big step if he learns to become a starter in the Bundesliga.”
