Chelsea
forward Patrick Bamford is hoping to extend his loan spell at Middlesbrough.
The England Under-21 international has scored five times in 13 appearances
for the Teessiders, three of them in his last four games, and is keen for
Jose Mourinho to agree to manager Aitor Karanka's request to keep him.
Bamford told the Evening Gazette: "At the moment, I'm only here until the
New Year, but I'm keen to stay. I like it here, I like the manager.
"He believes in me, which is important, so I don't think there's any reason
for me to go back."
Bamford has been used in a variety of positions during his spell at Boro to
date, playing as a lone frontman, off a central striker or in a wide
position, and he insists he has not been fazed by the challenge.
He said: "I've played all along the frontline, but I don't mind that. I've
played all those roles so far in my career and I'm comfortable in all of
them."
