Chelsea
midfielder Oscar will not be leaving the club for Juventus, Sky Sports
understands.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move to the Italian champions, but
sources close to the player have told Sky Sports that there have been no
talks between the clubs, and that the player will be staying at Chelsea.
Oscar has previously insisted he is “happy” at Stamford Bridge amid reports
that manager Jose Mourinho was ready to listen to offers for the
23-year-old.
But speculation has increased in recent days with the possibility of
Juventus needing to replace key midfielders Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba.
Oscar scored six goals in 28 Premier League appearances last season, but was
left out of the Brazil squad for this month’s Copa America in order to
recover from injury.
"We spoke with Jose Mourinho and the doctor at Chelsea," Brazil manager
Dunga said. "Oscar's recuperation will take time and he won't be at his best
during the Copa America.”
It is the midfielder’s first summer off in several years after representing
his country at the 2014 World Cup, 2013 Confederations Cup, 2012 Olympics
and 2011 U20 World Cup.
