Besiktas
president Fikret Orman has claimed the club are in talks to sign Chelsea
winger Marko Marin.
The Turkish club have already landed Demba Ba from Chelsea this summer and
are now interested in Marin, who has also been linked with Hannover.
Marin joined Chelsea from Werder Bremen in 2012 and made 16 appearances
during his debut season before spending last term on loan at Sevilla.
The 25-year-old, who won 16 caps for Germany between 2008 and 2010, could
now be on the move again and Orman is waiting to see how the discussions
progress.
Orman said: "We are in talks with Marin. We could sign him or go for a name
who we haven’t been linked with yet."
Ba, meanwhile, has confirmed he has spoken to Marin about Besiktas’ interest
and would be happy to see his former team-mate join him in Turkey.
"Marin called me after my transfer to Besiktas," Ba told Yeni Safak. "He
told me they were also interested in him and said he would like to play
alongside me.
"Chelsea are probably going to loan him out again, so this is something that
could happen.
"It would be an advantage for me as we have trained together and would help
the settling in process."
