Drogba Wants Redemption  (Sky Sports)

Chelsea forward Didier Drogba says the London side can put FA Cup embarrassment behind them if they set up a Wembley trip this week.

The Blues crashed out at the fourth-round stage when they lost to Bradford on Saturday but now turn their attention to Tuesday’s Capital One Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool, and the tie is nicely poised after a 1-1 draw at Anfield.

However, Blues great Drogba admitted the side are still suffering after losing 4-2 to their League One opponents at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, despite having gone 2-0 up.

“Of course we are not proud of what happened,” said the 36-year-old.

“We did not play our best football, we did not perform the way we wanted to perform.

“But you have to give credit to Bradford who came, and had a dream, and showed some courage.

“First they came not to lose, and during the game their ideas changed and they came to win. Congratulations to them.

“Everybody was disappointed but the good thing in football, especially English football, is in two days we have another game, so we have to focus on this game and try to play better than we did at the weekend.”

Asked if Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho had been enraged by the Bradford loss, Drogba said: “No, he was not furious.

“He was upset, like every manager would be and should be after a game like that.”
