Chelsea
are closing in on the signing of Croatia international Andrej Kramaric,
according to Sky sources.
The 23-year-old striker currently plays for HNK Rijeka and will cost the
Blues in the region of £6m. It is expected that Chelsea will loan out
Kramaric immediately, most likely to Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem.
Leicester City and Juventus have also been linked with Kramaric, who has
scored two goals in four appearances for Croatia.
Kramaric has caught the eye with his performances for Rijeka this season,
scoring 28 goals in all competitions.
Chelsea have already loaned out Wallace, Bertrand Traore and Josh McEachran
to Vitesse this season.
Meanwhile, Nathaniel Chalobah has completed his loan spell with Burnley and
returned to Stamford Bridge. The 20-year-old made one Premier League start
and four substitute appearances during his time with the Clarets.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche said: "Nathaniel will go back to Chelsea and we
thank him for his efforts in his time with us.
“We hope he has developed here, albeit not on the pitch as much as he would
have liked. He has, however, been an active part of the group and has been a
credit to himself. We wish him well as he looks to further progress his
career.”
