Blackpool
have signed Chelsea youngster Islam Feruz on a youth loan until the end of
the season.
Feruz, 18, moved to Chelsea from Celtic in 2011 and was part of the Blues’
FA Youth Cup and Barclays U21 Premier League teams.
The Somalia-born striker spent the first part of this season on loan to OFI
Crete. Provided the paperwork is completed in time, he could make his debut
against Wolves on Saturday.
Blackpool boss Lee Clark told the club’s website: “Islam is a very talented
player with the potential to excite the fans. He’ll offer something
different to us going forward and I’m pleased that Chelsea have allowed us
to complete this deal.”
